Rally Registration Desk

* The 2020 Rally Registration Desk is located in the "Club Room" of the Fairmont Resort.

* Today the Rally desk will be manned from 4pm until 7pm.

Dawn Patrol

* This is a pre-booked only event.
* Drivers of the beautiful Pre-War cars receive a complimentary breakfast
* Riders will be allocated to Pre-War cars where possible.

* Meet at 6:15am in the Fairmont Resort foyer for a prompt 6:30pm departure.
* Drive on the edge of the escarpment, watching the morning sun light up the valleys. 
       On to a sit down breakfast at another Blue Mountains iconic venue.
* A photo shoot is planned (weather dependent).

* You will be back at the Fairmont Resort approx 9am.

The Scenic World Experience

* A pre-booked only event.

* Come and explore Scenic World including descending to floor of the Jamison Valley
         in the steepest aerial cable car in the southern hemisphere 
         and wander through the Jurassic rainforest.

* Experience art in nature at Sculpture at Scenic World 2020 (click here to view 2019)
* Ride the steepest incline railway in the world.
* Float on air in the Skyway

* Truly a unique experience and suitable for the whole family and all ages.

* Best enjoyed as early as possible in the day.  Open from 9am till 5pm.

* Allow 2 hours.

* Disability access available.

Long Run to Mayfield Garden

* A pre-booked only event.

* A simply wonderful drive through the Blue Mountains, down the Victoria Pass and out to Oberon.

       Continuing out to Mayfield Garden  Australia's largest, privately owned, cool climate garden.
       16 hectares of gardens designed to be explored, with nooks-and-crannies to discover and the
       mobility-friendly Camellia Walk that provides access from the lower to the upper sections of the garden
       for those with mobility aids or prams. Play the interactive garden games or take a stroll and explore all
       Mayfield has to offer.  For a sneak peak of what's on offer, scroll down for a short gallery of photos.

* Drive, self guided walk  and lunch. Morning tea to own account.

* Optional stop on the way through (or back) for a cuppa or refreshing ale at Ambermere Inn est. 1845

Ever wanted to take a Phantom V for a spin?

*Would you like to know more about one of Australia’s most iconic cars? Come along and discover the history of the Foundation’s Phantom V – a car ordered specifically to the specifications of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her own personal use and that of visiting Heads of State to the Commonwealth of Australia. Would you like to sit in the very seat reserved for use by Her Majesty? Would you like to drive the very same car that Sir John Kerr is reputed to have been in when demonstrations broke out following the Dismissal? Do you want to hear more about how this same car competed in the Peking to Paris Rally across the wilds of North Asia? Would you like to take a turn piloting this car around the quiet streets of Leura?

* Come along on a tour of discovery; sit in the Royal Compartment for a photo or take the wheel. All are welcome to drive so long as a valid driving licence is produced, and the waiver forms signed.; not limited to Club members.

* ​When: 10am -12pm  and 2 - 4 pm Friday afternoon (only).
* Bookings:  No - just show up.
* Where:  Somewhere in Fairmont car park..... depends a little bit on weather.
* Wherever easy for drivers to depart and arrive in a very large unfamiliar car.
* Info will be in the Registration Room and in the Gatsby Gander on Thursday evening edition.

* Jeanne Eve &/or  John Matheson will be on hand to answer questions regarding the 1997 Peking to Paris Motor Challenge from 2.30-3pm at the Phantom V.

The Fairmont Affair - Your Welcome Knees-up

* Held in the Fairmont Ballroom 6:30pm
* Dress-code.... smart casual, or your 1920's glad rags.
